More Stampin' Up! Swaps

Hello!

Here are two more swaps I received. I needed two thank you cards so I will stamp a "Thank you" sentiment on the other card. (The beauty of a card like this is that it can be used for anything and is a great card to have on hand because you can personalize it to fit your needs.)

Here is a close up of each card:

This was received from http://www.ewillow.com/ in Jupiter, FL

Received from Jennifer at papergator.stampinup.net

I love both of these cards and think these ladies are very talented!

Thanks for stopping by,

Upsy Daisy Thank You Card

Hi Everyone!
As promised, here is one of the swaps I received from Karen Wagner at Regionals on Saturday.
She used the Upsy Daisy, Flight of the Butterfly, and Short & Sweet stamp sets, Melon Mambo and Whisper White card stock, Melon Mambo and Peach Parfait Classic Ink, The Big Shot Top Note Die, the 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Punch, the 1-3/8" x 5/8" Oval Punch, and of course, what card is complete without a little Dazzling Diamonds!  This is a really cute card and super easy to make.  Thanks, Karen!

Dream Gardens Regional Swap

Hi everyone!

This is another one of my swap cards I am bringing to Regionals.  I used Old Olive and Pink Pirouette card stock for the base of the card and stamped the bonsai plant from the Plant Hope stamp set on Crumb Cake card stock using my Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers.  The sentiment was punched using the Modern Label Punch and I added two Basic Rhinestones on each side.  (I used two of the littlest ones from the Rhinestone strips.)  Both the label and the plant are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Japanese girl from the Dream Gardens set is stamped with Pink Pirouette Classic Ink and the border and plant were embellished with Dazzling Diamonds. I also added some Pretty in Pink 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon at the top of the card.

Forest Friends Waterfall Easter Card

Good Morning!
This is one of the swaps I made for the Orlando Regional on Saturday.  It is a Waterfall card.  They are so fun and easy to make and I think this is officially my favorite type of card....this week anyway!

The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz and is cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  Next comes a layer of Greenhouse Gala DSP cut at 4" x 5 1/2".  I used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and cut a half circle at the bottom.  A small strip of  Daffodil Delight cut at 3/4" x 4" goes about two thirds of the way down and is secured it at each end with two matching brads.  The actual "waterfall" is a piece of Daffodil Delight cut at 2" x 9" and scored at 2", 2 3/4", 3 1/2", and 4 1/4".  Stamp your image on a piece of 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" and layer if on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 2" x 2". (I used a stamp from the Forest Friends set which is free with a $50 order during Sell-a-bration through March 31, 2011!)  Starting at the bottom, attach each image at the score line.  Slide the longest part of the "waterfall" underneath the small 2" x 4" strip and center it on the card.  Fold the image part of the waterfall down and add adhesive only to the center of the small strip to hold the last square  in place. Add a small piece of ribbon at the bottom and gently pull on it to see the waterfall effect.

It is fun to add different images to each piece but I think it looks cute with just the one image, too.  I probably made it sound more complicated than it is so I will try to make a video when I get back from Regionals.

Have a good day!

Hi Stampers!

I have been working all week on my swaps for the Stampin' Up! Regional next week in Orlando.  This is one of the six cards I will be bringing.  I am making 20 of each card to trade so I will have lots of samples to show you when I get back.
The measurements and layers are as follows:

*Chocolate Chip CS - cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

*Crumb Cake CS - cut at  4" x 5 1/4" and stamped with the En Francais backgound stamp in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink
*Chocolate Chip CS - cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

*Chocolate Chip CS - cut at 3/4" x 4 1/2" and punched with the Pinking Heart Border Punch.  I attached this to the right hand side of the previous layer.

*Regal Rose CS - cut  at 3" x 4 1/4"

*Very Vanilla CS - cut at  2 3/4" x 4" and stamped with the En Francais background stamp in Regal Rose Classic Ink

*The heart is from the Crosses of Hope Stamp set and was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink on Very Vanilla CS.  It was then cut out leaving a small border around the edge and sponged with Regal Rose Classic Ink.

*Next, I applied Versamark Ink to the cross and covered it with Clear Embossing Powder.  Using a pair of tweezers to hold the image in place, I applied heat with the Embossing Tool.  The cross is embellished with a Basic Pearl and the smallest butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die using Daffodil Delight CS and Dazzling Diamonds.

*The banner is a piece of Very Vanilla CS cut at 5/8" x 4 1/4" and stamped with the Crosses of Hope Stamp set in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.  I scored a line 1" from each end and again  1/4" from that score line and folded to get the banner look.  I bent the ends together and cut at an angle to get the fishtail look.

The second Chocolate Chip CS Layer and the cross is raised with a few Stampin' Dimensionals and everything else was attached with Snail Adhesive except the yellow butterfly which I attached with Tombo Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I have been asked more than once how I got the embossed look on the cross so I will post a video tomorrow to show you how easily it is done.
