Our Little Dude

This is Chopper a/k/a/ Meathead.  Isn't he the cutest little thing?  He is actually our son's bulldog puppy but we get to raise him until he is out of college!  (Our son, not the dog!  Ha-Ha)    For the most part, he has been a blast to have around but he gave us quite a scare yesterday when he started choking on some phlegm in his throat.  (Bulldogs are notorious for breathing problems but this is the first problem we have had other than loud snoring.) My husband actually had to perform the Heimlich maneuver on him when he stopped breathing and fell on his side.  I did some research online and found out that this sort of thing isn't all that uncommon with this breed.  Several sites said that squirting pure lemon juice in his mouth will help dissolve the mucus because it is so acidic and that will prevent another episode like we had, which is good because I don't think I would survive a repeat performance!!!  It was very, very scary.  Needless to say, we now have a big bottle of lemon juice in our refrigerator!

Happy New Year!

First, I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year and many abundant blessings for a healthy, happy, and prosperious 2011!

Next, I  want to welcome you to my new blog, Stamping Reflections.  Now that my son is fully recovered from his accident last Memorial Day and I am finally able to breathe again, I wanted to get back to sharing my love of Stamping and the wonderful products Stampin' Up! has to offer.  Those of you who remember me from my Two Snappy Stampers site will be happy to know that my daughter, Holly, is now attending a local College and will graduate as a licensed Cosmetologist next January.  Between Cody's recovery and Holly's busy schedule, Two Snappy Stampers kind of fell by the wayside and I decided a new name, new blog, and new image would be the perfect way to start the new year and get back to the hobby I love so much!  In addition to card and craft samples, I plan to share written and video tutorials to help you get started with your own stamping addiction.

So grab a cup of your favorite beverage and get comfortable.  Our journey is about to begin!
