Totally Tess Bookmark

Don't you just love this cool bookmark?  It was a 3D swap I received at Regionals from Terri Ransom.  I really love this stamp set but this is the first time I have seen it on anything but a card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Note Pad and Pen Holder Project

Isn't this just the cutest project?  I wanted to make a note pad holder for someone special who is expecting a baby and wanted a place to write down questions for her upcoming doctor appointments.  I cased the crib from a card I saw on Ros Davidson's blog.  I just love it!

Here is a picture of the inside.

Stamped Gift Wrap Tissue Paper

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would show you a better picture of the tissue paper I stamped for my friend's gift bag.  (You can see the original post here.)  After seeing how pretty this turned out,  I don't think I will ever purchase designed tissue paper again!
By the way, did you notice my new blog banner?  I  have been playing with My Digital Studio for the last couple of days and with the help of a tutorial by Patty Bennett, I finally figured out how to make my own banner!  What do you think?

One last reminder...today is the last day for ordering from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  This is your last chance to make your purchases before they are gone for good.

Happy Stamping!

Stamped Gift Bag Stampin' Up! Style

Today's share is a bag I made to hold a gift for my best girlfriend's birthday present. I used the Build a Blossom Stamp Set (#121923) and matching Blossom Petals Punch (#121808) to make the flower. I cased the design from a card by Dawn Griffith (my upline!). The flower was embossed with white embossing powder and I added some Dazzling Diamond glitter to the petals and the flower center. I used Baja Breeze cardstock, Springtime Vintage DSP, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. You can find all of these products in the Occasions Mini Catalog which will be available through April 30, 2011.

Happy Stamping!

Magnetic Business Card Holder using the Stampin Up! Table Setting Die

After ordering several boxes of business cards recently, we ended up changing our phone service and weren't allowed to keep our old  numbers.  I ordered new business cards right away but wasn't sure what to do with the boxes of old ones.  I crossed out my old phone number and decided I would just start leaving them everywhere I go and then an idea struck me...

I have a magnetic sign on my my car with the Stamping Reflections website on it and I thought it would be fun to attach a magnetic business card holder to it so people in parking lots, etc. could take one if they were interested in visiting my site. So.....I went to my local dollar store and found a magnetic pocket holder that had two separate pockets on the front.  I cut it down the middle so I could make one for each side of my car and I decorated them.  What do you think?  I just slip it into the inside of my car door as I get in my car so they don't blow away when I'm driving and then pull them out again the next time I am in a parking lot!

I used Snail Adhesive and Garden Green cardstock for the base and Regal Rose cardstock for the flower. (Do you recognize the Table Setting Die?) The leaf is made with Certainly Celery cardstock and the Sizzlits Little Leaves die. The words were made with Basic Black cardstock and the Naturally Serif Decorative Strip Die. For the final touch, I added some Certainly Celery 1/8" ribbon.

My Thanksgiving Table Setting with the Big Shot Table Setting Die

Hi Stampers!
I wanted to share a picture of the table setting from our Thanksgiving dinner this past November.

I meant to order the Perfect Setting Die for my Big Shot and was a little let down when my order came and I realized I had accidentally ordered the Table Setting Die by mistake.  That is, until I started playing with it.  Now I can't imagine being without it!  I love, love, love it!  I used the table setting again for Christmas, but my favorite thing about it is the beautiful little roses you can make for embellishments.  They are so fun and easy and a real wow factor for everything I have used them on.

Here is a picture of the name card and a peppermint patty treat. I cased the design from another site. If you recognize the designer, please email me so I can give proper credit. I think one of the things that drew me to Stampin' Up! (besides how awesome all of our products are) is that there are so many wonderful and talented people who are willing to share their projects and designs so I am never at a loss for creating something when the mood strikes or the need arises.

Here is a picture of the napkin holder and the beautiful rose I mentioned above.

I made the blessing bag with the Fancy Favor Die.  The original design was not mine but again I don't remember whose it was.  More than likely it was either Angie Juda or Dawn Griffith. I stalk both of their blogs!

Lastly is the water bottle holder.  I found it too confusing at family dinners to try and get everyone's drink order AND get the everything on the table so I now only give water bottles and attach the holders with a Crystal Light drink mix packet in case they want something flavored.

Thanks for letting me share!

A Round Tuit

WARNING:  Be very careful if you own one of these!!!

I found this cute little chipboard piece at a store the other day and thought it would be fun to make a round Tuit coin.  I used Not Quite Navy cardstock and Blueberry Crisp DSP for the design and stamped the word TUIT with the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers stamp set (#111610).

I was all happy and proud of my accomplishment until I realized what I had done.  All those times I was playing happily in my craft room and promising my husband I would do cooking and cleaning as soon as I could get around to it.... Well, you guessed it.  I now have got a round Tuit!!!!   The moral of the story....be careful what you wish for!

Happy Stamping!

Altered Composition Book

Greetings Stampers and Happy Friday!

Today's share is an Altered Composition Book I made for Holly to use at school. I covered the front with Shades of Spring DSP (retired) and Orchid Opulence CS. The Title was stamped with the Defining Alphabet stamp set and Orchid Opulence, So Saffron, and Certanily Celery Classic Ink Pads. I added a little Dazzling Diamonds on each side of the word, but next time, I think I would add a couple of the Jewels Basic Rhinestones instead.  I love making these. They are quick and simple and I can get the composition books inexpensively at the Dollar Store, although I usually load up on them at the after school sales in August and September when I can get them for a quarter or less.
